Yes, my friends, it IS possible for a hootenanny to take place in one's backyard. In our case, our back yard is a parking lot and our dear in-house likker store thought it a fine place to celebrate their Grand Re-Uncorking. All hail to the beloved wine haven/beer carnival/think tank/playhouse we know as the Cork Und Bottle! The 25 years of wonderfulness were celebrated in traditional Midwest style with beer (Central Waters Weiss)! food! AND music! All of that included a child's-portion side of face-painting, puppet theater, and hula-hooping, all fueled by a half barrel of root beer. Sa-weeet.
